The great Fire of London

Wheel & Deal x Fire x FatKidOnFire

Things have been a bit quiet here on FKOF over the last two weeks. I’ve been heads down on getting Chew off the ground (thanks to everyone who’s contributed in any way – hugely appreciated), Korrupt’s been keeping the SoundCloud ticking over and we’ve all been pitching in on the FKOF social accounts when we can.

But. And it’s a big but. We’ve been working behind the scenes on a few extremely exciting partnerships for FKOF – collaborations that point to us having a pretty awesome 2015. I’ll be able to announce more as they drop, but the first is one of the biggest…

Over the coming months, we’ll be working with one of London’s few remaining large-capacity clubs to champion the dubstep sound. As you may have noticed, N-Type‘s Wheel & Deal Records have partnered with Vauxhall’s Fire to bring classic 140bpm lineups to a big system in a big club – something that London has been deprived of in recent years. As for FKOF, we’ll be bringing you guys mixes, interviews and reviews on the bi-monthly dances.

We’re really, really excited to be working with N-Type, Wheel & Deal and the Fire team – and hope that with our support and, more importantly, your support we can make these events an integral part of the dubstep dance calendar. To kick things off, we’ve got a little promo mix from the legendary Kromestar

This coming Friday sees N-Type, Coki, LX One, Jakes b2b Kromestar (and our boy Beezy), The Others and Walsh stepping up in Room 1. If that’s not enough, Uprise Audio are running room 2…
