After a small delay (which I’m blaming on New York), we’re here with Justify’s latest New Music roundup. This is a selection of the tunes we’ve been listening to over the past week or so – let us know if you’re feeling (or if you’ve got something we have to hear)!
Deafblind & Mesck’s Less Than Nothing [dub]
Kicking off this week’s New Music with an older collab between two of our favourite American producers. Separately, these guys kill it – but together, Mesck and Deafblind can do no wrong!
Love The Cook’s Petroleum [forthcoming Gradient Audio]
LTC on a more laidback vibe than we’d normally hear from him; but that’s not a bad thing! This one is forthcoming alongside Crescendo on Gradient Audio (release date TBA).
Kinzy’s Contakt [forthcoming Stripes Records]
FKOF fam Kinzy has a release out on Stripes Records – the Baloo EP – on which Contakt features. Huge release!
Anex’ My Red Lady [Dub]
Anex on the emotional tip with this one. Absolutely amazing vibes! Buttery smooth baselines.
Clearlight’s In the Half Light remix [Foundation Audio]
Clearlight’s remix is out today on Foundation Audio’s EP with Mono – it’s one of the few tunes to get regular air time on our Dusk FM FKOF Sessions show! Grab it here.
Arkwright’s Jurassic [dub]
FKOF fam Arkwright has smashed this one. Jurassic is a good indicator of why we love his sound…
Spacedrome’s Mad Consequence [Abyssal Audio]
Spacedrome’s Lies EP is out today on Abyssal Audio. EP opener Mad Consequence is a roller! The whole EP’s worth a check – Control A Dream is a wicked tune as well.
SparkUp’s Meditation [forthcoming Dubtribu Records]
An interesting tune this one; simple but with space between the elements. Out soon on Dubtribu!
Taiko’s Clear Cumulus [dub]
Another New Music and another appearance from the one and only Taiko. Absolutely love this one!
Ago’s Trust Inc. [dub]
Rumbling low end, snappy percs and a sample to keep the attention from wandering. Wicked dub from Numa Crew’s Ago!
Content’s FKOFd009 [out now!]
Last but not least, our latest FKOFd EP from Content dropped last week. As always, the response has been awesome – and it’s currently sitting one spot inside the top 5 in the dubstep chart on Juno Download. You can pick it up from Juno here – and it’s out at all other good retailers from 16/06. Thanks for all your continuing support!
Peace, love and respect.
