Out and About this weekend…

Out and About this weekend…

Tomorrow’s going to be a day that goes down in UK streetwear history. Posterboy for independent streetwear, in the US (and arguably worldwide), Johnny Cupcakes is finally opening his first UK store. FatKidOnFire will be there covering the madness (people are already camping outside the store at 10 Fouberts Place) and hopefully grabbing JC for a quick chat. You never know, we might even get an exclusive JC London tee to give away. If you fancy coming down to 10 Fouberts Place, we advise getting to Carnaby early – it’s gonna be full on rambo-madness! Don’t turn up at 1pm as you won’t get a look in. We’ll be there from 10.30am so come say hi! Details on the flyer below.

After we recover from welcoming JC to London, we’re heading up to Bloomsbury to meet esteemed artist NYC graffiti artist Michael De Feo. We went to the private viewing of his first UK exhibition this week – it’s not to be missed. We loved the artwork on show but unfortunately can’t afford any of it (which is unfortunately usually the case). Imagine how stoked we were when it turns out that Michael is actually in London and is giving away 50 signed prints of his work from 2pm at the Orange Dot Gallery tomorrow! We’re not quite sure how we’ll juggle getting from JC at Fouberts Place to 54 Tavistock Place – but we’ll damn sure manage it somehow! Come say hi if you’re going along too.

Finally, tomorrow night sees the return of the sensational Audio dOughnuts outfit to East London’s Rhythm Factory. Our frequent readers will already be aware of the love FKOF has for the Audio dOughnuts events – for those of you yet to venture to one of their nights a) shame on you b) get yourselves down to the Rhythm Factory from 10pm (arrive early to avoid the queues). Flyer below and peep the Facebook event here. Bring the bassfaces!

We’ll be providing coverage from all three events tomorrow – so be sure to follow us live on Twitter and stay locked on FatKidOnFire Sunday/ early next week for all the recaps.

Peace, love and respect.
