One Forty Five South x FatKidOnFire - Re-Interview #3

One Forty Five South x FatKidOnFire

Re-Interview #3

After our second re-interview with F2D Clothing at the start of December, we figured we’d start 2011 off with a catch up with another of the brands to feature on the original FatKidOnFire site six months ago.

Chicago’s One Forty Five South was the sixteenth brand to feature here at the first FKOF. Chaz’s brand has continued to grow with their latest collections (due January and March) marking the next step in the brand’s evolution. We sat down with Chaz to have a quick catch up, to discuss what’s gone on over the past six months and what’ll be happening with the brand in the future…

It’s been six months since the One Forty Five South x FKOF feature, what’s changed for the brand since then? My approach to the collection has… I have divided the collection into male and female lines; two separate looks. The men’s line is Still APPAREL RESERVE “The AR” and the Women’s is Called “APPAREL RESERVE: REVENGE”. Both lines are still completely conceptual and FOR the PEOPLE haha!

Your new collection launches in January with a few new pieces (tees, crewneck sweats and thermal items). Are you still designing using the same influences as you were six months ago? What caused you to expand the collection? Yeah I’d say so. The influences remain but the presentations have changed. January marks the next chapter in my expansion of products. I’m tapping into a lot of fashion garments to further my looks. I think my looks will be a perfect blend between Urban x Contemporary.

When can we expect more from OFFS – any exciting collabs or further designs to look out for in the near future? The “ISOLATION FAMILY” Draft Box Set is available NOW in JUGRNAUT CHICAGO and on my online store. New additions for the “AR” will drop this FEB/MAR and “RVNG” is set to drop in MAY. Both will be available in stores and online as well. As far as collaborations go, Get It Man Ent./G.O.O.D. Music’s GLC and I have a DOPE tee dropping this Spring!Definitely be on the lookout for that!

Has your opinion of the streetwear scene in the US changed? Do you see any changes of note in the UK streetwear scene? I’ve still got big love for the UK, I’m planning to visit soon! As far as The US, my opinion hasn’t changed… But I plan on raising the bar very soon haha!
