After welcoming in the new year with a remix EP from our friends at Pressed Records, we’re back here on FatKidOnFire with a new competition for fans of the label and its latest artist – the astounding Quantum Soul…
“Early February 2014 sees Pressed welcome Quantum Soul to the ever-growing imprint with ‘Clear As Dub‘, a release resonating in high energy that demonstrates this artist?s technical ability is a innovative force to be reckoned with.
“The flipside features Ruckspin (Author/ Submotion Orchestra) & Medison (founder and owner of Pressed Records) on remix duties. Having released their debut sell-out EP ‘Marger – Space’ (PRD003) back in 2013, both artists have individually gained worldwide support from the likes of BBC Radio1, BBC1Xtra, Kiss and Rinse Fm radio shows.”
Pressed founder Medison‘s just got the test presses for the Clear As Dub release through and hit me up to say he has two spare. And, because he’s a bit of a legend, Dan’s offered his spare two up to the FKOF faithful – so we’re going to be giving away these two (of five, in the world) test presses. Safe to say it’s a competition for fans of the dubstep sound, the label and the producers involved (which should cover pretty much everyone who will be reading this post…!)
How do you enter the competition?
- You need to have a SoundCloud account (which, if you haven’t got one, you can register for here)
- You need to navigate yourself to the PRD007 FKOF Promo; which is ->here<-
- You then need to comment on the upload telling us why you love the release and why you should win.
Simple as that! We’ll then work with the team at Pressed to choose our two favourite comments and will then notify the winners via SoundCloud message (or by other means if available). The release itself is out on vinyl from 03/02/14 and the digital drops a week later; so we’ll run the TP comp for two weeks – ending midnight GMT on Wednesday 29/01/14.
Oh, and don’t forget to sort yourselves tickets for the Pressed & Innamind EXILE event in a fortnight’s time…
Peace, love and respect.
